How did I get into foot health?
Well, I was looking for additional work I could do alongside my other job as a flight attendant – a job that is very demanding on the feet! As I pondered on my options, I knew I wanted to offer something that was nurturing for others, and foot care felt like a natural choice as it was something already close to my heart. As someone who has spent a huge amount of my working life on my feet, I have personally felt the benefits of making space to look after them so that they can support me well through the days I work long hours.
It’s interesting how many people can’t bear the notion of touching their own feet, let alone other people’s feet. For me, I actually love attending to people’s feet and find it hugely enjoyable and relaxing.
There are many conditions that affect the health of our feet and there is so much to learn and deepen into around the health and wellbeing of our feet.
I love meeting new people and developing a relationship with my clients. I feel passionate about educating people about the importance of taking care of their feet. Often, our feet are taken for granted and sometimes even neglected, and yet they support us through our days and offer us insight and reflection into our health, wellbeing and lifestyle. It’s a part of the body I have chosen to bring greater focus to, so that with my training and skills, I can support others to have more awareness about their feet, and use my skills to attend to some of the more basic physical problems that can arise through many different ways in which we live and move.
